After watching delivery guy toss my package across my front porch...I sent this!
So after what I witnessed yesterday with a delivery of a product I got, I thought I would send the following message to the company that delivered my package. (At this time, I won't say which company it is, however, if it happens again, I will):
Yesterday I heard my front porch door open because I had my inside door open. I got up to go meet the delivery man to get my package and watch him toss my box onto my porch to land underneath my swing because I have it noted on my profile to have my items put underneath my swing. I startled him and he commented, "oh, it says to put the packages underneath the swing on the porch. I said, yes, that's what I requested.
I am glad the item wasn't a breakable item, however, I have had to contact sellers in the past because their items have arrived damaged and not working. It makes me have to wonder if it was actually the product itself, or the handling of the item. I am thinking maybe my next purchase should be surveillance camera's to see how often this is happening. Then when a product is damaged, if the box has been tossed across my porch, I can send the video footage to the sellers and let them decide how to go about the misuse of their products.
I understand every person is busy in their jobs every day, however, to damage someone else's property because they don't want to take a couple extra steps and set the box down, should not cost someone else money, even if it is a business. They have expenses also, and to cause their products to be damaged and have to spend money to replace an item, not at the fault of the product is ridiculous.
I hope in the future more respect for your customers on the shipping and receiving of items will be done with more care.
I also love how the delivery man put that the box was "handed" to me.
