Great product for saving money and reducing TSS risk. Does take time to get the process down

I received the LolaCup Set of 2 Menstrual Cups with Pouch Bag on September 29th. I honestly could not make this up...It was perfect timing as Aunt Flo was due to visit and decided to that night. I followed the instructions and sanitized them by boiling them in water for 3 minutes. I folded the cup like the directions showed and placed it. I did have to trim the stem as suggested if needed and it does also make it a little harder in regards to twisting it to create the seal that is required. It does take some time to get it placed properly. It also is a little hard to turn to make sure it creates the seal that is required to prevent leakage, so I would suggest using a liner until you get the process down and know it is in place and sealed. If properly sanitized and used, they say it can last years according to the company.

It suggests buying the size 2 if you have had children, however, I did go with the size one and I have had two children and did have to trim the stem on it. There are other factors to consider when choosing the right size and if unsure I would suggest checking with your doctor. Overall it is a great concept to help reduce the risk of toxic shock syndrome if you primarily use tampons and I just think takes time to get the process figured out for getting it in place. I am all for saving money and don't mind taking a little extra time to get it figured out.
